Meeting: 22 July 2023 at 09:00 at Lyttelton Methodist church

Good day ladies

And whoosh, just like that it is time again for our next meeting, and one to look forward to we may add!

We shall have a very interesting guest speaker, Elsa Toerien, whom some of you may know. She is a retired professor in Clothing and Textiles and also an avid quilter, so do not miss this Saturday's meeting!

We are also due to receive another block for our mystery quilt for the year from Danèl - your quilts should be taking nice shape by now - very few unknown blocks left :-)

Besides that we think of displaying all the baby quilts we have received so far for our charity project, so we can take stock and maybe just inspire those who just need that one little bit of convincing to finish theirs. Claire will be ready again with a very easy block design for a baby quilt in case you are still undecided about that.

So, make sure you come along, dress warmly and bring a friend!

Centurion Quilters Meeting on 22 April 2023

 

Ladies, Saturday is meeting day again!  

9am at the Methodist Church in Lyttleton.  R20 entry fee and please bring a friend...or 2!  

Danel will be giving us the next part of the Mystery Quilt, 

Kay has loads of great ideas using Half Square Triangles,

Claire will give us a few more ideas for the charity baby quilts and 

Rene is bringing a few of her quilts along to share with us.  

We'd love to see your completed blocks for the Mystery quilt and any other Show and Tell!

It has been a while but yes, we are meeting again this coming Saturday the 25th at our usual venue in Lyttelton.

We can look forward to the reveal of our next block in the mystery quilt-along (you are most welcome to come show us your completed block so far!) and there will also be an interesting talk by Kay regarding the cutting of fabric scraps.

That is besides the other interesting things that happen at every meeting, and maybe a surprise or two, so please join us this Saturday for an inspiring morning! Bring along any Show and Tell you may have, we would love to see what you have been busy with since we last met!

As always please remember your R20 entrance, your mug for tea/coffee and a friend that may be interested!

Exhibition at Jacaranda Quilters meeting 11 Feb 2023

Morning ladies.  

A friendly reminder that we are exhibiting our quilts this weekend at the Jacaranda Quilters meeting.

If you are able to come to the church on Friday morning at 10am to help us hang quilts, that would be much appreciated. You can bring your quilts with you on Friday but please let Claire  know how many you will be taking.

If you are unable to go on Friday but have quilts to exhibit, please drop them off with Claire in Irene or Kay in Wierda Park by Thursday.  Please call Claire/Kay to arrange a time.

Friendship meeting is at NG Kerk Wierdapark in Piet Hugo Street.
