Scrap sizes: Bonny Hunters' scrap user guide as presented by Kay de Jongh

 Kay de Jongh reminded us of Bonny Hunters' ideas on how to utilize scraps.

The suggested sizes to cut your fabrics are:

• Any pieces bigger than 12", cut into strips in sizes  1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2"
• Any strips shorter, you can cut into squares of 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" or
• bricks of 2 x 3 1/2", 2 1/2 x 4 1/2", 3 1/2 x 6 1/2"
• Larger pieces of fabric can be cut into squares of 10 1/2". Join the squares to create backing fabric for your next quilt.

It has been a while but yes, we are meeting again this coming Saturday the 25th at our usual venue in Lyttelton.

We can look forward to the reveal of our next block in the mystery quilt-along (you are most welcome to come show us your completed block so far!) and there will also be an interesting talk by Kay regarding the cutting of fabric scraps.

That is besides the other interesting things that happen at every meeting, and maybe a surprise or two, so please join us this Saturday for an inspiring morning! Bring along any Show and Tell you may have, we would love to see what you have been busy with since we last met!
